About Us

When old friends meet again, good things happen! Jon and Patti met in the early ‘80s, when Jon was in the early stages of his musical life, playing guitar and Patti was pursuing a career in classical singing. Now, 25 years later, they are collaborating on a new musical venture.

 

A violin maker by trade, Jon has years of experience playing guitar, mandolin, bass and dobro with folk, bluegrass and old-time bands. He brings instrumental variety to the group and also contributes vocally. Jon also plays bass with folk duo Tom and Ellen Demarest and with the bluegrass/old-time music group, Cooper Hollow.

 

Patti made the switch from classical to popular singing in the late ‘90s while looking for information on teaching popular styles in her voice studio. She fell in love with country music and revived her love of jazz and swing music. Since then she’s added folk and bluegrass to her list of styles in addition to playing guitar, bass and occasionally mandolin. Patti also performs with Cool Conspiracy, a jazzy quintet performing jazz and swing standards as well as some R&B, oldies and classic rock for variety. There she sings, plays flute and guitar.
